Solar Farm Summit

The Solar Farm Summit is a solar energy, land use and agrivoltaics conference and expo focused on ground-mounted solar development and dual-use projects co-locating solar power and agricultural production or advanced conservation practices, including pollinator habitat, as well as the redevelopment of marginal and brownfield land.


Beyond ‘making a space’ and market for those attending our conference, our aim is to begin an ever-present campaign to seed the marketplace of ideas far and wide. We aim to prove solar, agriculture and conservation land uses are not in conflict and elevate the broader agrivoltaics conversation. We’re intent on opening specific opportunities for farmers who attend each Solar Farm Summit, but our highest objective is to win hearts and minds across the heartland, and move hands to action until agrivoltaics is adopted on a planetary scale.

North America's 1st dedicated dual-use development conference and agrivoltaics exhibition will dig even deeper into the essential solar energy and agriculture nexus during its 2nd supersized installment, which is scheduled to land again next to O’Hare International Airport in the heart of the continent’s heartland at the stunning, sustainability-conscious Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel during the 2024 Solar Farm Summit (SFS24)!


Attendees can expect another 3 difference-making days of instructive and inspiring dual-use development programming and exhibition in an enriching and substance-first environment designed to disseminate applied knowledge, speed adoption, activate advocacy, and drive the ultimate construction of these ultra-adaptive and doubly-abundant solar farms unto ubiquity across North America and beyond. SFS24’s syllabus-style program featuring 70+ of today’s foremost experts builds from entry-level dual-use and land-based solar development basics up to detailed case studies and projects, policy, government programs, grants and financing, community engagement, land recycling, and advanced topics in applied agrivoltaics and land stewardship; as well as focused workshops and Q&A forums.
