About the role
Your role is creating and delivering ground-breaking IT products that revolutionise the solar industry.
Your main responsibility is to articulate the voice of our customers and other stakeholders to the development team to ensure valuable outcomes that drive further growth.
Autarco’s Senior Product Owner sets the goals, roadmaps and does the resource planning for our software development landscape. You conduct customer interviews (end users, solar panel installers, etc), perform user research and do competitor analyses for market-focused decision-making. You craft proposals, functional design documents, and agile requirements for an unparalleled user experience. Moreover, you incorporate customer and stakeholder feedback continuously, ensuring top-notch software quality. You maintain software product backlog and coordinate effort estimations. You drive alignment across teams, promoting collaboration and delivering outstanding results. Provide progress reports and metrics to leadership, guiding Autarco's success and championing new functionality internally and externally, supporting marketing efforts with captivating content. Finally, you have the ambition and capabilities to manage a multidisciplinary team.
A day in the life of Mahir, your future co-Product Owner
You hop in the office to grab a cup of coffee and join the sprint planning with the IT team to make sure all priorities are aligned. One of the developers is actually just about ready to finalise an iteration of a cool new feature that she wants to demonstrate to the stakeholders with you. Together you come up with a fun way to do an interactive demo with a group of customers that you were planning to meet anyway, because they are a key source of information for you on how customers actually experience our software on a daily basis. Every time you do a session with them, it’s not only a fun way to get closer ties between the company and its customers, but also a very fruitful source for new improvements to the roadmap. After a lunch at the long table with all colleagues who are in on that day, you spend some time organising all incoming change requests, and identify ways to get the most value out of the software development sprints, with the least amount of resources. After proposing the functional design you have in mind for some of these ideas, and aligning with the IT team and stakeholders on them, you have some time left to think about coming Friday, because then it’s your turn to organise the Friday afternoon event.
What do we ask of you?
We do not expect you to tick all of the boxes, but to be comfortable with some and eager to develop yourself in all aspects.
- 2 -6 years of experience as a Product Owner
- Dutch and English communicative skills
- Project management / decision making skills
- Knowledge/experience in IT software development and UX design
- Customers/stakeholder perspective
- Management experience to lead operational part of team on daily activities, and interested to grow towards formalised management role
- Solar industry experience (pre)
- Willingness to work in the office in Eindhoven on hybrid basis
- Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools
