Piping personnel for LNG, other transitionary and green energy projects located in both domestic and international markets.  As a minimum, candidates must be proficient in the use of 2D (AutoCAD, MicroStation) for early development of plant layout and the use of 3D design review tools for commenting on activities being carried out in the model by others. Must have  a proven history successfully leading large FEED as well as detail design projects across the multiple offices.


Key Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will be responsible for the equipment layout and piping design in in the 3D model. This includes, supervising and reviewing the work of the piping design team for the project assigned, leading model reviews as well as interfacing with client and senior project personnel on a regular basis. 


Duties include: 



  • Developing  work plans and budgets for bids as well as for assigned projects

  • Supervising and reviewing work of the design team, including those in HVEC’s 

  • Interpreting project design standards and issuing directives/design highlights to ensure consistency in application

  • Planning internal and external model reviews 

  • Work with other department as well as disciplines to resolve design conflicts (e.g. pipe routing/support and or clashes with other model objects).

  • Supervise/mentor junior and intermediate designers

  • Ensure review and check of engineering and design deliverables


Qualifications/Experience
Motivated, creative, quality focused applicants with:



  • a minimum of 10 years piping layout and design experience in the refinery/petrochemical industry

  • Strong supervisory skills with a minimum of five years’ experience in similar role.

  • Proficient in the use of Intergraph SmartPlant Review software

  • Strong knowledge of Intergraph S3D 

  • Good communication and presentation skills 

  • Willing to travel overseas to HVEC and other locations as necessary to support the project.


Candidates must also have a strong working knowledge of recognized industry codes standards and practices
