Job Summary: Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs play a crucial role in providing specialized and innovative care to patients in their most critical moments. We rely on our ED RNs to be prepared to handle a wide range of emergency situations, delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. These nurses are trained to respond swiftly and decisively to trauma situations, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective interventions. Ideal candidates for this position will possess exceptional assessment skills, the ability to prioritize patient needs, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care under pressure.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assess and triage incoming patients in the Emergency Department, identifying both physical and mental health conditions and prioritizing care accordingly.

  • Provide timely and effective nursing interventions to patients experiencing medical emergencies, trauma, or acute illnesses.

  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and coordinate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Monitor patients' vital signs, response to treatment, and overall condition, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel, providing education, support, and reassurance throughout the emergency care process.

  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.

  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.


Required Skills & Experience:



  • Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience working in an Emergency Department (ED) environment.

  • Recent ED experience within the past six months.

  • Demonstrated level of performance and practice in emergency nursing.

  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services, including medication administration, wound care, and emergency procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
