Below is GreenJobs.com's list of green energy recruiting firms. Now, this isn't your average list, we took a lot of time to go find all most of the recruiting firms out there in the renewable energy industry offering recruiting services.

What is the criteria to be included on this list? GreenJobs.com doesn’t care about size of your recruiting firm, or how long it’s been around. We have tried to list recruiting firms that focus only on green energy. As the industry is rapidly growing, we might add or remove recruiters from this list.

This green energy recruiting list should be helpful for job seekers, recruiters, hiring managers, internal talent acquisitions teams, executive hiring committees, and more.

If you have been listed below and are interested in working with GreenJobs.com, we would be happy to chat.

Editor’s Note – The list below is no particular order.

WhithamGroup

First up is WhithamGroup, a recruiting firm we know well here on GreenJobs.com. WhithamGroup is all about placing executives and head honchos for various roles across the green energy industry.

WhithamGroup is based out of San Francisco, California and was started by Carina Whitham, an experienced executive recruiter. They have a lot of great contacts in the green energy industry you won’t find anywhere else. If you are looking for an executive or management position in the solar inudstry, Carina and her team would be the best to reach out to.

WhithamGroup has even been named the number one executive search firm in renewable energy by Solar Power International. We work with them personally here on GreenJobs.com and recommend them for executive search.

Allen & York

Allen & York – these folks have been rocking the environmental recruiting world for years.

Allen & York is truly one of the OGs of the green energy and environmental recruiting space. This company was founded in 1993 by Mark Allen. Keep in mind, 1993 is actually even before the internet was even a thing. And email was pretty new.

Of course the advantage to this is they have years of experience. Allen & York recruits in the environment, energy, sustainability, and ESG, and well-being industries and sectors. They have executive search, retained, fixed term, and also they do contract recruiting as well.

Eleven Associates

Eleven is a UK and US based recruiting firm that has several areas of recruiting specialty, but they are now big in greentech and renewable energy space. The company has been around for 23 years and has a dedicated team of recruiters.

HatTip Alex from BoltJobs

AltGen

AltGen, beaming in from Cape Town, South Africa. AltGen are all over green energy recruitment in Africa and the UK. They're not your go-to if you're stateside, but they are good for projects in Africa. Would be a good point of contact and reference for anyone that has green energy projects in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Mauritius, and the UK.

Peak Demand

Next up is Peak Demand. Peak Demand is a smaller outfit based out of California. They've got their fingers on the pulse of executive roles. They focus on recruiting for solar, energy storage, wind, EVs, and other green emerging technologies.

Peak Demand is part of the MRI Network, which is an affiliate group of recruitment companies with 325 offices spanning four continents. Supposedly this helps them expand their recruiting capabilities, obviously, with a larger network, you have better options of placing more people. In recruiting, they typically say that your network is your net worth.

Gaia Human Capital Consultants

Gaia Human Capital Consultants is a boutique shop of executive search firms founded in 2007. Gaia is based out of California and they've been recognized by Forbes and Hunt Scallon Media as one of the top executive search firms.

She actually used to be a consultant at Acre, and then she founded a other green energy recruitment business back in 2011, which merged into J.D. Ross Energy, which is another green energy recruiting company that's been around for a long time.

I guess her non-compete must have expired because she now she started her own smaller women-focused green energy recruiting firm. Catherine hosts a great podcast called the Green Light, where she interviews people within the green energy sector. She also has a focus on DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) recruiting and trying to get women into the renewable energy space.

Wind Tech Recruiters
Wind Tech Recruiters does exactly what is sounds like, wind power recruiting. They have a lot of experience and connections in the wind and turbine industry. I actually interviewed William, the founder, on GreenJobs.com blog.
