Behavioral Therapist
Responsibilities:
- Conducts psychological assessments and interventions in an outpatient setting
- May serve child, adolescent and adult populations
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans to implement with patients under the clinician’s care
- Engage the patient and family to develop treatment plans that address identified goals in psychotherapy
- Assess and utilize various treatment modalities (individual, family, group or focused/short session psychotherapy)
- Provide a minimum of 20 patient contact hours per week
- Facilitation of psychotherapy groups as may be necessary
- Develop and lead community education efforts on behavioral health topics
- Participate in relevant and ongoing professional training
- Demonstrates and adheres to PBH’s commitment to care
Education:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling,
or other Behavioral Health related field.
Work Experience:
- Two (2) years of combined experience working with individuals with substance use and
mental health disorders
Licenses and certifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) (preferred)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (preferred)
- AHA BLS
