Hamburg, Germany March 2, 2010

The Supervisory Board of Conergy AG has appointed Andreas Wilsdorf to the Management Board for Sales and Marketing. He begins his duties on March 15, 2010 and will be responsible for sales and the performance of the established Conergy brand.

Andreas Wilsdorf is replacing Philip von Schmeling, former Deputy Chairman for Sales and Marketing. After five years with Conergy and three years on the Management Board, Mr. von Schmeling has decided to pursue different challenges with the ending of his contract with the company. Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Conergy AG, Eckhard Spoerr, thanked Philip von Schmeling for his high level of dedication and loyalty to the company, saying, “He has supported the company through thick and thin and done a fantastic job.”

With Andreas Wilsdorf, Conergy is gaining an internationally experienced manager and expert in the branch who most recently was responsible for sales in the areas of solar, aluminium and PVC in Southern and Western Europe as well as South America for the company SCHÜCO International KG in Bielefeld. Mr. Wilsdorf has a degree in Business Administration and, starting in 2005, worked for three years in Madrid where he managed his areas of responsibility for the company.

“Andreas Wilsdorf is an excellent reinforcement for the Conergy management team,” said Dieter Ammer, Chairman of the Management Board of Conergy. “With the appointment of Mr. Wilsdorf we have managed to take another step toward putting Conergy on a growth-orientated and long-term path toward success in both structure and management bodies. His exceptional experience in project activities and foreign markets makes him the perfect fit for our future alignment.”

Hamburg-based Conergy AG is one of the leading firms in solar system integration, with around 1,700 employees in 14 different countries, spread over four continents. Conergy develops and produces crystalline solar modules, power inverters and mounts at three locations in Germany. In this way, Conergy is able to offer its customers the levels of quality associated with German technology, as well as its own complete range of components for solar equipment. In addition, Conergy develops, finances and installs solar equipment as well as parks and works on large-scale renewable energy projects that fall outside its core sector of photovoltaics.

Since its foundation in 1999, Conergy has converted over 1.25 gigawatts of renewable energy, almost 1 gigawatt of which has come from solar energy. Conergy has been listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange since 2005 (ISIN: DE 00060 40025) and has been pursuing a growth strategy in the alternative energy markets of the future.
