Beltsville, Maryland, United States June 12, 2008
New Role Reporting to CEO Will Oversee All North American Operations
SunEdison, North America’s largest solar energy services provider,
today announced that Brian Jacolick has been named General Manager – North America.
Based in Beltsville, Jacolick will report directly to SunEdison CEO Thomas (Tom) Rainwater and
will oversee all business operations for SunEdison in North America, including U.S., Canada, and the
Caribbean. Jacolick previously served as Vice President of Sales, leading the development of solar
programs for marquee organizations including Kohl’s, Staples, Wal-Mart, the State of California, and most
recently Duke Energy.
“Brian is the right person for this important role,” noted Rainwater. “He has significant depth of
experience in solar energy, with more than 1,000 solar systems to date including installation, finance,
operations and sales. Brian’s programmatic approach to solar energy services helped SunEdison become
the largest solar energy services provider in North America by supporting leading organizations to
produce clean, reliable and predictably priced renewable energy as a hedge against increasing electricity
rates.”
“I am privileged to work with the most innovative and experienced team in solar energy services,”
said Jacolick. “Leading companies, utilities and government entities understand the financial and
environmental opportunities available to them by using solar as part of a total energy portfolio. Simplifying
that process for them is a commitment that we make everyday to every customer.”
Sun Edison LLC is North America’s largest solar energy services provider and operates across a global
marketplace. SunEdison provides solar-generated energy at or below current retail utility rates to a broad
and diverse client base of commercial, municipal and utility customers.
