Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with significant construction project management experience. Candidates should also have experience working with and designing residential and commercial electrical systems. Experience with Solar Photovoltaic systems is preferred but not required. Applicants must be able to show they meet the following qualifications:

A successful candidate for this position has these qualifications:
• 1-2 years experience commercial or residential solar electric systems is PREFERRED.
• Disciplined, self-motivated work style
• Desire to stay on the leading edge of the RE industry
• Experience in electrical wiring in residential or commercial applications PREFERRED.
• Experience in mechanical installations, general construction and ladder work
• Knowledge of the NEC Code and AC and DC electrical systems
• Knowledge of Universal Building Codes and building materials and techniques (i.e. lumber, roofing materials, etc.)
• Able to read, understand, and edit electrical and structural plans.
• Previous project management or foreman experience a big PLUS
• Good communication and customer service skills and experience
• Good managerial and relationship building skills for motivating team members
• MUST have reliable transportation
Good at problem solving and implementing site-specific design modifications
• H.S. Diploma, two-year degree in technology/industrial arts preferred
• Proficiency on a PC computer (MS Word, Excel)
• Experience drawing in Autocad a PREFERRED
• Experience preparing city/county permit packages
• Has been employed by a well known contractor a PLUS
• Experience with purchasing and tracking orders
• Ability to maintain complicated schedules, develop project timelines, and manage people and materials to complete jobs on schedule
• Able to communicate and coordinate subcontractors in other trades
• Able to communicate and coordinate with structural and electrical engineers
• Able to maintain inventory of large number of materials
