Requirements Graduation from a four-year college or university with an undergraduate or graduate major in urban planning, environmental planning or a closely related field; and six years of related progressively responsible professional planning experience. Experience in California tidelands planning is preferred. Additionally, the Land Use Planning Department seeks a candidate with familiarity and/or experience with the following subjects: • Energy conservation • Sustainability • Climate change • Greenhouse gases
