Description:
My client is one of India’s largest manufacturers of solar products, including photovoltaic modules, invertors, street lamps and solar thermal water heaters. Over the last decade, their business has grown dramatically across India, and they are now looking to take things to the next stage by increasing their presence in the global market. To do this, they are looking for an experienced business development manager with diverse experiences of the solar industry to spearhead this expansion. This is currently one of the most exciting roles in the market for anyone with sales and marketing experience that is looking to gain international exposure, with an excellent commission structure available to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
To establish the company’s name within foreign countries, including the UK, USA, Italy, Germany and some East African countries
Designing sales and marketing strategies for each country
Sourcing new clients and closing sales deals
Preparing market reports on each country for senior management
As the business grows, the overseas manager will be given the opportunity to screen, select and train a sales team for each country
Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of sales, marketing and business development experience within the solar industry
A strong understanding of the technical issues of photovoltaic technology
Academic qualifications are not essential, although candidates with business or engineering qualifications would be looked upon favourably
Fluent English and Hindi speaker. Other languages are a bonus
Mobility for frequent international travel
