Description:
My client is a leading energy consultancy who have built up an excellent client base serving utilities, energy companies, investors, developers and regulatory bodies over a number of years. They are currently increasing headcount for specialist consultants in offshore wind to particularly focus on clients investing in development of offshore wind farms and regulatory bodies. This will be an exciting and varied role, with frequent travelling to visit clients and assess various projects and data and the possibility to work from home for 1-2 days per week whilst writing reports/recommendations.
Responsibilities of the role include:
· Initial business development and marketing of the company brand in order to win new mandates
· Winning repeat business
· Overseeing large projects
· Negotiating terms and contracts
· Assessing client issues and coming up with innovative solutions to solve problems, increase efficiency and deliver projects on time
· Advising on permitting, planning, project development (front end engineering, design engineering etc), international tendering and more
Requirements
Skills and qualifications required:
· At least 5 years’ experience in a client facing role in offshore wind (does not have to be in the UK market)
· Flexible to travel
· Background in electrical, civil or mechanical engineering
· Candidates must have an excellent reputation in the offshore wind market and understand issues surrounding permitting, planning and project development
· Business development experience will be a strong advantage
