My client is a leading brokerage house with a particularly strong focus in the emissions, renewable energy and conventional energy markets. One of the most successful business areas is the GHG (Greenhouse Gas) business, which now has an exciting opening in London.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Brokerage: Acting as broker and consultant for European GHG markets.
Business Development: Building a client base of clients, including utilities producers, end-users, commodity clients, banks and funds.
Solutions: Understanding clients’ needs and challenges, and coming up with creative solutions.
Relationship Management: Assisting in team performance through regular communication with colleagues to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions.
Maintaining & developing personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as ongoing desk training.
Acting as a brand ambassador for the company.
Requirements
Skills/qualifications required:
At least three years financial services and/or energy or environmental brokerage related experience.
Quick learner, high energy, keen team player with excellent verbal communication skills.
In addition to English, fluency in one or more European languages a plus.
Knowledge of FSA rules and guidelines relating to customers.
IT Skills: Office applications; accurate data input skills.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
