Description:
My client is a leading developer of renewable energy projects across Asia. They are a successful engineering consultancy globally, with a reputation for high quality construction and development of power plants. A vacancy in Singapore has become available for a Project Manager to develop biomass plants in the South East Asia region. This is a managerial role however my client is keen to hire someone “hands on” who will get involved in the day-to-day engineering problem solving alongside the team.
Responsibilities include:
· Managing a team of engineers responsible for the design and construction of biomass plants
· Working with Senior Management to develop the Bioenergy business within the company
· Looking at various projects including biomethane, anaerobic digestion, wood waste, palm oil etc
· Working closely with CER consultants to ensure projects are able to generate CERs under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)
Requirements
Skills and qualifications required:
· 5+ years’ experience working in the Biomass/Bioenergy space
· Excellent knowledge of biomass, biogas, and waste-to-energy
· Background in Civil or Mechanical engineering
· Experience of project managing at least 1 Biomass plant
· Strong knowledge of the future of biomass development in South-East Asia
