U.S. Wind Energy Industry welcomes Study by National Academy of Sciences Showing Wind has one of Lowest Impacts of any Energy Technology

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) today welcomed the report by the National Academy of Sciences entitled “Hidden Cost of Energy: Unpriced Consequences of Energy Production and Use” and issued the following statement by AWEA Senior VP for Public Policy Rob Gramlich:

"The National Academy of Sciences, in a first-of-its-kind study for the U.S., finds that polluting sources of energy impose a hidden, growing impact on our society that costs billions of dollars—and reminds us of the value and imperative of developing clean, renewable energy sources like wind power. As our government grapples with climate and energy issues, the conclusion is clear: renewable energy policies improve Americans’ health and save Americans money."
