The award is presented by AlwaysOn, publisher of AOmagazine and

stakeholder value and media buzz,” said Tony Perkins, founder
and CEO of AlwaysOn.
“The GoingGreen Top 100 winners have excelled in key strategic
areas in the global clean energy technology markets,” said
Perkins. “We congratulate them for their success in introducing
new tools, services, and systems that are driving the next phase
of greentech innovation and transforming the biggest industries
on earth.”
The GoingGreen Top 100 award winners will be honored at the September
15-17 GoingGreen Conference in San Francisco, presented by AlwaysOn,
Scientific American and Morgan Stanley.
“This great new award, coming on the heels of Pentadyne being
named to the world-renowned Inc. 500 List, is further recognition
of the growth, innovation and environmental responsibility that
our company has embodied since its inception.”
Pentadyne is the world’s leading manufacturer of flywheel energy
storage systems used for energy recycling applications and to replace
hundreds of lead-acid batteries used with large-scale (uninterruptible
power supply) UPS systems. Pentadyne flywheels deliver an order
of magnitude greater reliability than batteries, near-zero maintenance
and have a footprint and lifecycle cost less than half that of batteries.
Using 90% less power than other flywheels, this environmentally
responsible system is sold by several of the world’s leading UPS
manufacturers. An ISO-9001-certified company, Pentadyne designs
and manufactures its products in Greater Los Angeles.
